keyx

Reported by info | November 27th, 2009 @ 11:10 AM | in 0.5.0

a /setkey keeps the keys in the Keychain access. The /keyx however is only valid while online. If you use a bot while away, it's impossible to read the encrypted querries since the key is lost. The channelkeys while away remain by the Keychain access, so there it's perfect to read once back online..
Why aren't the keyx keys stored in the Keychain access so it would work as great for the querries as it does for the channelkeys?

thx

Yeah, I am aware of the problem that until you do another /keyx you will not be able to read the messages people had sent you with an old key. The reason I decided not to add generated keys to the keychain was that, depending on the number of people you talk to, this can generate quite a lot of entry in the keychain.

What I initially planned was to create a separate keychain for exchanged keys, in order not to pollute your main keychain. But as I do not have too much time lately, this will probably be at least another few month away.
